I started running when I was in my early 20's and really got into it. I ran for about a year and was putting in around 5 miles every day. I stopped because after college graduation I had too many other distractions and responsibilities. I'm now 32, 20 pounds heavier, and my metabolism is definitely slower than it used to be. I've just started running again (w/ plans to participate in this year's Peachtree Road Race) and I'd like some tips on diet and training. Right now I'm putting in a mile to a mile and a half and I try to improve my time each day (I've been running for a week now). What do you recommend as far as distance - How often should I increase the distance I run each day? Please send your response to sowen@charbroil.com. Thanks.
