David,
Firstly good luck on your upcoming marathon. Although the preparation is short you should finish.
Provision of water and other supplements at marathons is up to the organisers. The vast majority provide a variety of choices at the various water and aid stations.
The most important thing is to ingest enough water. This is especially critical in warm or hot conditions. You should also take some form of glycogen replacement drink with a concentration of around 7%. Practice drinking this liquid in a run before the event as they can cause stomach upsets if you are not used to it. If you can't then take along plenty of water to dilute the concentration should you feel bad.
Most of the off the shelf brands also include small concentrations of potassium, sodium and other salts. These may or may not be useful depending on your diet and conditions. In general they can do no harm. Isotonic solutions are less common but may be available.
All the best,
Paul
