Paul, I didn't try any hard stuff after the last long run. I'm now on a carbo loading protocol. I'll eat mostly protein fat and fibre until Friday, then I'll eat mostly carbohydrate. Some researches have shown that it can increase my glycogen storage by 60-70% for up to 3 days. Unfortunately, I fall a few feet today and hurt the lower part of my left leg. I have 3 stitches in the hospital, the surgeon advise me not to go for the race for fearing it will tear the wound, but I plan to proceed. By the way, is it a rule for the organizer to provide isotonic water along the track? How do people replete ions in the sweat?
Thank you for your advice, David.
