Thanks for giving me a basic understanding of what it takes to fittness. Race day is 4 wks ahead, my target is <3hr. PB is 1hr9m/16km, online prediction you given is 3hr17m. My planning is to do lots of 1km interval and 16km threshold to train my VO2max and AT. The problem is that I don't want to exhaust myself by practicing long run so late, but I want to loss weight, enhance my Aerobic Endurance and Insulin capacity. Can I manipulate my diet so that I would hit the wall earlier during my threshold run to attain the same stress effect? Thanks for your generous advice! David
