Following a weekly plan I am doing sport (running, swimming or cycling) every evening also four mornings a week. I have been looking at plans in magazines and such and seen that all have a rest day incorporated them. How essential is it to have a rest day? I tried to think about having a week every 4weeks or trying to fit some sort of rest day into my plan everyweek but it is completly impossible as I become very unfit very quickly. Can u give me any advice on how or if I should have a rest day please it would be a great help. At present I am a student and work weekends, I do between 11-17 hours of sport a week and how much do i need to have of rest? Thanxs for your help .... also for your advice on long distance running it has been really great!
