Hi all,
V.j. is correct. The versions of RunCoach before the beta 1 release were essentially useless as diaries. Beta 1 however has a fully funtioning diary that can easily input the type of workout that v.j. suggests. In fact it is one of the few products that could deal with these workouts.
To see how it is done do the following:
1) Start the beta 1 version and switch to the Example user in the 'General' tab
2) Select Tuesday Feb 17 1998
3) Select the 'Runs' tab
4) Click the details key Here you will see an interval workout that starts with a 10 minute warm-up followed by 8x400m intervals where both the work and rest times are measured.
You could even record individual pulse times (Hi Ave Lo) for each interval.
This is not all. Once this data is entered you can analyse it in several ways. From the graphical analysis section you can get average pace(time or distance) for the whole session including warm-ups. The average pace(time or distance) for just the intervals (the work periods) and the pace(time or distance) of the fastest interval. You could even select just 400m intervals and track your fastest pace over a year.
RunCoach is designed to primariy deal with running workouts however it is possible just to record a training time and the type of workout if you wanted to record and analyse v.j.'s weight workouts.
Hope the above helps.
Paul
